NECRØ, the Lisbon-based occult Dark Electronic duo of João Vairinhos (LÖBO, Wildnorthe) and chanteuse/keyboard player Sara Inglês (Wildnorthe), return to WL//WH with an Official Video by Sara Inglês herself for “Cold Cut”, the third single from their anticipated debut album “Into Oblivion”, scheduled for release on December 9, 2024 via Cold Transmission Music.
The magnetic and atmospheric “Cold Cut” is another glimpse of a steadily growing band with a layered, lush and throbbing dark electronic sound, increasingly rich in nuances with Wave, Industrial, Techno and even Trance tones as this latest track displays.
Immersive, sentient, and metaphysical insights lie knocking percussive patterns, heart pumping beats, ominous flickering bass lines, and hissing echoes as the stirring foundation for powerful female vocals dripping pain and anger, while tinkling, glassy plucking mists and rolling off-kilter synth strains, swirl into a piercing emergence of warm melancholic melodies.
The Official Video by Sara Inglês builds a dissociative strobing realm where a lost soul wanders aimlessly while surrounded by shapeshifting lights, shadows, and symbols to sync seamlessly with the soundtrack. Significant lyrics fuse with an imaginative use of opposite, elemental, and cosmic imagery to relay a message about the danger of a disconnected lifestyle.
