Certainly not new to these pages, NABTA, the Breton synthetic duo based in Nantes, part of the Collectif ONNI, is going from strength to strength with its dark, vibrant, highly danceable, electroclash-minimal wave sound, fresh from dropping the new music video, in collaboration with Thomas Bailleul, for the track “Love/Hate”, taken from the brand new 6-track EP “No Excuses”, out now, on Ltd. Vinyl 12″/Digital, via Oraculo Records.
Electro charged hypnotic auras expand deep pinpoint bass vibrations into serpentine rhythms around rapid scattered beats and infectious high energy female vocalizations, echoing manic cries of, “Love!” “Hate!” “Tomorrow!”, into the heavy dance-inducing ominous shuffle of EBM-esque grooves.
The mesmeric fluorescent-lit visuals, directed by Thomas Bailleul, shed kaleidoscopic neon lights that swirl into split-screen overlays atop a vast colourful cityscape, doused in retro 80s style fashion, as extreme volume accelerations and electric starburst radiations explode into rhythmic dancefloor pulses, along the hypnotic night skyline.
Simultaneously the ltd. 6-track Cassette “Drop The Mask” is out now on the fellow Breton label Distag Records.
Keep up with Nabta:
