WL//WH Video Of The Day: MY RAINING STARS “Stop The Time”

WL//WH Video Of The Day  MY RAINING STARS

My Raining Stars, since 1998 the solo project by French musician and composer Thierry Haliniak, also part of the Indie Pop trio Meyverlin, finely and heartfully dedicated to craft British-tinged guitar pop reveries, assisted by his faithful multi-instrumentalist Casper Iskov, also on production, recording, and mixing duties, drops a music video directed by our beloved Maud Anyways for “Stop The Time”,  a stirring, immersive dive into “Dream-Gaze” soundscapes à la Slowdive, the second excerpt lifted from My Raining Stars’ forthcoming third 10-track studio album, “Momentum,” scheduled for release March 21, 2025, co-released by Too Good To Be True (EU) and  Shelflife (USA).

Encompassed by the inability to let go, a slow enveloping sprawl of reverberating wailing guitars, underlaid by steady drum beats and meandering bass pulses, embroider endless sparkling ripples of ringing sadness, layered with refracting fuzzed-out dewdrops, making their way through the grey mists, to lightly engulf emotional pain-filled vocals, releasing melancholy, anxiety, and aching cries, as a loved one grows frail and begins to pass away.

The black and white visuals for “Stop The Time”, by Maud Anyways, show a poignant and heartfelt performance by Thierry Haliniak who walks alone down a cold country road, while ghostly overlays and cut scenes of nature bring forth the intimate, introspective, and symbolic aspects of death.

My Raining Stars‘ forthcoming 10-track album, “Momentum,”  will be released, on Digital and Compact Disc formats, on March 21, 2025, co-released by Shelflife Records (US) and Too Good To Be True (EU/ROTW).
