Video Of The Day Moonlight Parade
Moonlight Parade, the West Sussex, UK-based Indie group made of longtime friends and veteran musicians Ben Todd (vocals, guitar), Steve Murphy (guitars) and Al Borg (Bass, Production), drops an Official Video filmed on location at Worthing Beach by Duncan Lethbridge for “Planes, Trains & Automobiles”, lifted from the incoming, Bandcamp only, EP “The Lost &Found,” due out on February 28, 2025.
Coming together by chance in 2018, the pretty prolific DIY group from the coastal little town of Hastings, South of England delivers a catchy, breezy and timeless 90s tinged Indie-Pop, speckled with sunshiney 60s glimmers, defined by a clean and crystalline sound at the service of a bright songwriting imbue with distinctive melodic freshness and immediacy.
A gentle tambourine lilted, jangly folk pop ballad with gorgeous glistening sad melodies and cocooning stirring harmonies, “Planes, Trains & Automobiles” unfurls a rich sentimental tapestry pulsing through laid-back percussions and sinuous warm bass lines, weaving layers of soft strumming, and painful mellow twangy emotional guitar chords, laced with subtle fluid keyboard overlays, to envelope bittersweet atmospheric vocals with a vibrant heartfelt outpouring of deeply aching memories.
In the Official Video, by Duncan Lethbridge, an evocative sunburnt orange filter covers Moonlight Parade with warmth and nostalgia as they perform “Planes Trains & Automobiles” at Worthing Beach in West Sussex, UK. To sync with the soul-stirring passion of the soundtrack, deep shadows and gradating tones transform the introspective beauty of the seaside with eternal sun-setting moods while the crew poses symbolically and bonds over time spent together skipping stones.
Moonlight Parade‘s new Bandcamp-only EP “The Lost & Found” will be released tomorrow February 28.
