Video Of The Day Mayflower Madame

The Oslo, Norway-based band Mayflower Madame, unveil the second single, “Paint It All In Blue”, imagined by the visuals created by Astrid Serck, lifted from the band’s forthcoming third album “INSIGHT”, mixed and mastered by renowned Italian engineer Maurizio Baggio (The Soft Moon, Boy Harsher, The Vacant Lot), due out on November 1, 2024

Conjuring Echo & The Bunnymen’s majestic swirling lysergic vibes flecked with moody Post-punk undertones, while lyrically dealing with the fear of love fading, “Paint It All In Blue”  judders, ceaselessly edgy and emotional, through the midtempo driving propulsion of a hypnotic, metronomic drum pattern along with warm chugging bass pulses, layered with spectral epic keyboard blankets and meandering, carving-out somberly vibrant guitar riffs, to instil quivering melancholy wrapped by softly distorted haunted vocals, aching in restless adoration, to evoke feelings of obsession and bliss with a strong undertone of foreboding.

Thought-provoking visuals by Astrid Serck blend romantic introspections with clever hand-drawn illustrations and strategic red and blue lighting to sync with the twisted reality aspect of the soundtrack. There is also a suggestive use of texture, off-kilter proportions, occult symbology, and psych reflections to get lost in.

Mayflower Madame‘s forthcoming third studio album, “INSIGHT”, will be released on November 1, 2024, digitally through the band’s own label  Night Cult Records (Norway), on CD via  Icy Cold Records (France) and on Vinyl via  Only Lovers Records (France) and  Up In Her Room (UK).

Keep up with Mayflower Madame:
