WL//WH Video Of The Day: LONE ASSEMBLY “The Pain Keeper” (Official Music Video)

Video Of The Day LONE ASSEMBLY

Lone Assembly, the up-and-coming Geneva, Switzerland-based quartet made of Raphaël Bressler (vocals, keyboards), Glenn Le Meur (guitar), Jim Bodeman (bass) and Romain Segu (drums), serve up an electrifying mix of romantic, nostalgic New Wave and dark, moody Post-Punk, that swells the heart and invigorates the body in the new single “The Pain Keeper” via Irascible Distribution, paired with an Official Music Video directed, shot and edited by Manon Stutz.

A darkly sentimental and soul-stirring imaginative offering that helps you feel heartache, “The Pain Keeper” weaves dire introspective, piercing guitar melodies through an undertow of thumping drum beats along chugging and jittering bass lines, to sway around powerful, agonized vocals, struggling to stay afloat, whilst rising and falling beneath relentless swirling mists of emotional destruction.

An intimate and stirring black-and-white video clip, directed by Manon Stutz, showcases Lone Assembly performing “The Pain Keeper” under a transformative veil of lights and shadows. Strategic editing includes the use of smoke, hand gestures, and a blurry focus to draw the viewer into the deep melancholy, suffering and pain expressed in the soundtrack.

Keep up with Lone Assembly:
