WL//WH Video Of The Day: LMX “No Love” (Official Video)

Video Of The Day  LMX

Münster, Germany-based young Electronic / Synthpop musician and composer Luis Maximilian Schmechta, a.k.a. LMX, returns to WL//WH with the Official Video for the second single, “No Love”, in anticipation of the 7-track digital EP “Rehab”, released today, August 23rd, via his family label Meshwork Music, run by his father Sevren Ni-Arb (of  X Marks The Pedwalk, and SN-A fame).

“Rehab” is darker and more powerful than his previous three albums as he faces inner conflicts and explores the ambivalence of moral convictions and religious motives.

“No Love” captures the discomfort of a divided lovelorn soul by the steady marching pace of pounding beats and buzzing oscillating low ends, to drive an introspective, plinky electro tapestry of strobing jiggly strains, and bittersweet synth melodies, whilst aching melancholic vocals, surrounded by swirling ethereal echoes, wrestle with fear and insecurity.

Symbolic visuals deploy aerial drone footage to capture a black-hooded person trekking knee-deep in the snow through a pine forest to sync with the psychological struggle of the soundtrack. Throughout the arduous journey, warm visions of a mysterious girl flash like memories in the mind, giving the walker a reason to make it to the victorious mountain peak.

LMX’s new digital 7-track EP, “Rehab”, mastered at Cottonbeat Studio by Olaf Wollschläger, is out today, August 23rd, via Meshwork Music.
