WL//WH Video Of The Day Left at Orion
Left at Orion is a Cincinnati, Ohio-based Shoegaze three-piece imagined by the Northern KY-bred duo of singer & guitarist Kelli Redding and bassist Ian Gorby, both part of various Cincinnati bands such as Slow Glows and Peace Attack, who joined forces with former Sungaze drummer Ian Hilvert, to fuse dreamy-loud Shoegaze, Indie Rock and Psychedelic sensibilities, inspired by moods, dreams, landscapes, and stargazing feelings.
The trio have dropped a Music Video for the atmospheric, vibrant, and highly emotional track “Radiowave” from the forthcoming debut full-length album, “Radiowaves”, scheduled to be released in early October 2024.
Torn by the guilt of a difficult relationship, an excruciating tide of sharp pain-fueled ringing guitar strains obsessively prick an undertow of sullen meandering bass pulses and plodding drum beats, whilst reflective heartfelt vocals shift into dreamy layers of droning disassociation.
From sunset, through twilight, into the moonlight, a DIY lyric video, inspired by notebook doodles, summer nostalgia, suburban decay, and the feeling of déjà vu, syncs with the sentiments of the soundtrack. The magic of crepuscular vision and strobing light reflections blend with transparent timelines and handwritten lyrics, to transform a walk through Left at Orion’s neighbourhood into an alternate-dimensional excursion.
Left at Orion‘s debut album, “Radiowaves”, is slated for release in October 2024.
