Laura Schen, the solo Italian Experimental Dark Electronic musician, singer, and producer based in Berlin, Germany, returns, after five years, with a video directed by Robert Hanna, assisted by Karina Alfs, for “Destination Love,” taken from her forthcoming self-released fifth album, “11 : 11″ due out on July 13, 2025.
“Destination Love” is a deep, visceral, and personal declaration about using all one’s inner strength and power to rise through life’s destructive forces onto a summit where giving and receiving love leads to freedom and liberation.
The song elicits an arcane, mesmerizing tide of low shaky, thumping kicks along with rousing, wooden knocking ritualistic percussions through a metaphysical realm of immersive buzzing expansions, while beautifully haunting, strong female vocals sway back and forth between low airy broods and pain-filled soaring cries, to become distant behind a barrier of swooshing and zipping frequencies, then reemerging alongside a brilliant cold droning celestial glow.
The visuals, directed by Robert Hanna, show Laura Schen performing a graceful and bewitching dance under shifting red and blue auras to synchronize with the powerful outflow of “Destination Love.” A striking fiery head of hair nests atop the feathery neck plume of a black caped modern outfit to bring forth a primal energy where shadows hover and lights flash from above. Near the end of the clip, LS cups black stones with two hands and releases them onto the ground. She then lies in struggle under their weight before slowly rising to look into the camera, stirring the soul with thought-provoking symbolism and insight.
Keep up with Laura Schen:
