Video Of The Day LASITUD
Often our welcome guests in the past, Lasitud, the five-piece Mexican unit from Villahermosa, Tabasco, return, after a long break, with a new single, “Déjame Entrar”, paired with the Video Oficial directed by Joan Ramírez, as a first foretaste to the band’s eagerly awaited debut album to be released sometime over the year,
The quintet, made up of Andrés Contreras (Guitar,) Paola Gavilla (Vocals/Synth,) Julio Beli (Vocals/Guitar,) Max Campos (Bass,) and José Gorrochotegui (Drums), deliver a melodious and dizzy reflective dreamy Indie Rock/Pop, kindled by buzzing Shoegaze textures and soaring vaguely Post-Rock tones.
“Let Me In” explores the pleasure and madness of all-consuming love, layering vibrant piercing and distorted glistening guitar riffs with plodding drum beats and throbbing bass lines, swaying between a tumultuous reverb-dusted burst and calm sparkling introspection around emotional dual male-female vocals, combining heartfelt care with warm airy comfort and fused choral angst.
Groovy upbeat visuals, directed by Joan Ramírez, star Lasitud in an evocative performance of “Déjame Entrar .” Colourful neon-enhanced effects by Daniel Salmerón craft multi-dimensional perceptions using blurry trace visions and psychedelic overlays, drawing out the dreamy romance of the track whilst giving us an up-close view of the band’s unique charm.
Keep up with Lasitud:
