WL//WH Video Of The Day: LARSOVITCH “Légions Perdues” [Stanze Fredde Records]

WL//WH Video Of The Day  Larsovitch

Bridging Greek Minimal Synth and Soviet Post Punk leanings and a nostalgia and modernism dichotomy, Larsovitch is the Montpellier, Southern France-based minimal, cold synth-driven brainchild of Théo, electrified by highly danceable twists and turns of Electro-Wave, and EBM laced with an off-kilter, retro pop sensibility.

After last February’s infectious debut EP “ΣΥΝΘ” (Synth in Greek), the Montpellier project teases his forthcoming second EP, to be released via Turin, Italy-based Stanze Fredde Records, with a DIY video for the song “Legions Perdues” featuring the label co-heads Ruben and Irene.

“Légions perdues” represents the memories that fade over time, the blood given to keep a story alive that no longer exists, and the fight for a lost cause.

The track places a shivering, expanding glow from angsty, melancholic synth strains, fueled by a racing, crisp drum machine alongside frenetic buzzing bass tones, swirling around emotional, restless vocals.

Over three days, the three of us captured our wanderings, and the footage reveals the beauty of a connection, an artistic symbiosis. It was incredible to meet someone who shared our ideas and principles on such a deep level and we are happy to start this collaboration!

To metaphorically sync with the soundtrack, artistic black and white DIY visuals, filmed in Autumn 2024, set the edgy trio of Ruben, Irene, and Theo against the esoteric magic at the Baroque city centre of Turin where the Po River and Dora Riparia join to flow through a bustling urban terrain.

Don’t miss tonight, November 23, the first edition of Turin‘s  STANZE FREDDE FEST, a project born with the hope of being able to promote the free exchange of music, understood as a communication tool and not as a refined product, the value of DIY and the diffusion of ideas that differ from the standards and commercialization of art.
