Video Of The Day Lapsus
Lapsus, the Rennes-based French–American duo of Dominique Godderis (voice, lyrics) and Aurélien Chouzenoux (music, instruments), previously known as Lapsus Presents, infuses shapeshifting Ethereal and Cold Wave fragrances on top of an atmospheric foundation of both soft and abrasive Dark Electronic textures to bring forth an official video for “Bouche Ouverte”, the first excerpt from the forthcoming album “For One And For All”, scheduled for release on May 29, 2026, via Meidosem Records.
“Bouche Ouverte” plods tensely along with a hypnotic, subtly squelchy, meandering acid bass line that seamlessly wobbles above a percussive floor of muted kicks and crispy clicky hats, swathed in ominous swelling drones, echoey glimmering synth streaks and bursts of high-pitched trumpeting screeches atop layers of tight, fearful female vocals, with a disturbing, dissociative vibe, cast in wicked laughs and siren-esque calls.
In the Official Video, Lapsus performs under transformative filters to sync with the off-kilter, glitchy and flickering quality of the soundtrack. A blurry edge-softening haze combines with deep jewel-tone colors, intervals of inverted lighting, and strobing lights to change symbolic imagery, including an eerie puppet, from a nightmarish sense of fragmentation and disconnection to a multicoloured insight.
