Video Of The Day InDecision
Karlsruhe, Germany’s Experimental /Post Punk five-piece, InDecision drop an existential music video, directed by Feric, for the atmospheric new single “Waterworld” taken from the band’s recently released debut 10-track full-length album “Id“.
The five musicians from Karlsruhe coalesce, with organic ease, a wide array of influences, spanning from New Wave, Punk, Noise, Kraut and Indie, with the best bits of the 80s gloomy and emotional-ridden Synth-fueled Post-punk from the ’80s.
“Waterworld” unfolds a stirring, haunting concoction of crisp, scattered and dragging drum beats, poignant resonant bass laments, mesmeric, droning reverbs, icy bright eerie synth melodies into a lingering angsty atmosphere of restless moods and unbalanced harmonies to somberly carry aching emotive vocals and haunted hallowed cries into the solace, isolation, and fear found at the bottom of the sea, entombed in final abrasive metallic riffs.
1000 beautiful and evocative hand-drawn illustrations by Feric come to life in a breathtaking underwater video excursion, where a preternatural realm of dark ethereality compels hypnotic waves and ghostly hands, to dance in sync with the immersive vibes of the soundtrack. Depth-defying textures, surreal motions, and shape-shifting chiaroscuro awaken ancestral thought-forms from the dark slumbery shallows of modern distortion, to connect the mind’s eye of mythical archetypes with an organic insight of mind-altering transcendence.
