IAMTHESHADOW (2015), the Lisbon-based dark music brainchild of the Portuguese musician and composer Pedro Code (Voices, Synths, Guitars & Programming), alongside his bandmate Vitor J Moreira (synths), returns with an Official Video for “So Long Lost”, the first single from the upcoming album “Rise Upon Your Fate” scheduled for release in 2026 via Cold Transmission Records.
This is a song to tame the fear, to sail your mind, to take you down or take you back into your life.

The atmospheric shadow-drenched “So Long Lost”, cloaked in sad swarms of droning mists, combines palpitating thumping drum patterns along restless wobbly and buzzing bass lines with dire longing synth drifts and distant excruciating, screeching guitar slivers, shivering desperately high over downtrodden baritone vocals, layered with emotional echoes, fighting the pain of the past to stay alive rather than becoming lost and faithless.
The DIY visuals capture the duality of the soundtrack by placing bright white strobing lights over symbolic locations ranging from the clouds in heaven to a subterranean parking garage. Nested within the vision, like sacred geometry, glowing circles connect to form a face to bring forth a trippy multi-dimensional perspective. The last scene quickly changes from a large rain-dropped window overlooking the city at night into a spotless, empty room where partly closed drapes struggle to filter out the enormous illumination pouring in from the outside.
IAMTHESHADOW‘s upcoming album “Rise Upon Your Fate” is scheduled for release in 2026, via the German independent label Cold Transmission Music.
