A moonlit ritual of obsession compels a relentless resonant bed of heart-beating kicks, splashy lashes, and striking clanking hits along with ominous snaky, trembling bass oscillations, covered in transfixing dramatic sheets of swirling icy synth glows, to immerse aching, euphoric vocals, with sentient shivers of insatiable desire.
Like the ambient intro and outro of the soundtrack, waves ebb and flow against the seashore as the duo of Hypnagogia, dressed in head-to-toe Gothic black, perform “Tobacco and Lavender.” Intense kohl-rimmed eyes penetrate a vintage flickering screen amid creative editing techniques to bring forth thought-provoking, metaphysical visions.
