WL//WH Video Of The Day: HAPPY PHANTOM “Ten Fathoms Deep” (Official Music Video)

Video Of The Day  HAPPY PHANTOM

Happy Phantom is the Dallas, Texas-based Dark Wave/Post Punk band led by the front-man, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Jackie Legos (vocals, guitars) with Austin Hayse on keyboards and synths, Dave Ainsworth on bass guitar, Zack Bigalow on drums, and Colby Sias on percussion.

The quintet have just relesed an Official Video for “Ten Fathoms Deep”, the second single from the forthcoming fifth full-length album “Under The Blood Red Moon”, via Polypiel Records.

“The fear of dying alone is like being lost at sea without much hope and yet, we find ourselves willing to hold on to the bitter end, if only to find a glimpse of comfort in someone else.”

“Ten Fathoms Deep” drives hard-hitting doom-laden drum beats and menacing bass lines under an electrified Gothic blanket of dire melancholic guitar melodies, obsessive prickly bleeds, and eerie, atmospheric synths, to shake and engulf desperately restless vocals in haunting immersions of pain and wickedness.

In the Official Video, created and edited by PILATUS, a mossy earthen swamp sets the dank and gloomy backdrop for an exotic witch who wears symbolic jewels and tribal head attire as she dances at the foot of an altar where a crucified man suffers next to a hanged man.
