Greg Online is Greg Johnson, an Alternative Synth Pop artist and voice actor from Minneapolis, Minnesota, who also co-writes, sings, and plays the guitar in the duo Plastik Boxes, fresh from sharing an evocative DIY video clip for his latest single “Tongue Tied.”
An atmospheric and darkly melancholy-ridden song about what it feels like not to know what to say, sways on the echoes of stirring, tinkly keys and ghostly synth overlays while tight syncopated beats and jagged bass lines drive under vibrant and flickering sheets of ringing guitar melodies, raining on alienated vocals, shifting between radiating, wistful angst and cold echoing isolation, with the fear and intensity of being disconnected forever.
