Video Of The Day FUTUREHEAVEN
Five piece Shoegaze/Dream Pop combo from Sydney, Australia have just dropped their debut 3-track EP “Colourwaves” anticipated by the video, shot and edited by Joseph G Media, for the band’s latest single “Asuka.”
A trip down the most mesmeric MBV-tinged path, “Asuka” compels distorted, ringing wistful guitar riffs to weave relentless pain through low humming bass lines, stirred by hard-hitting rambunctious drum beats, kicking up dense fuzzed-out mists, cut through by searing, sparkling melodies, whilst dreamy yet angsty melancholic vocal longings layered with feather-light breaths, glide hopefully through a dark and desperate realm of restless doubt.
Soul-stirring visuals by Joseph G Media blend lively performance footage with the sentimental backdrop of a night-time carnival outing to sync seamlessly with the lost, timeless vibes of the soundtrack. Blurry, prismatic neon spinning lights from a carousel, skewed camera angles, and disconnected transitions scenes open forgotten portals to the past whilst slow, surreal cathartic flows ease the viewer into a fun-filled escape with friends, cutting tension and chaos, albeit momentarily, from the merciless influx of modern oppressive moods.
Futureheaven‘s debut 3-track EP “Colourwaves” is out now on the major digital sharing platforms.
