Frau Aicon & Das Wunder, the German Electro / Synth Pop duo of Sanna Eicken and Daniel Wunder, return to WL//WH with a DIY video for their latest single “Time Machine.”
“Sometimes you wish you could turn back time”, hints the track imbued with dark, buzzing, Sci-Fi auras, driven by stacked marching beats and ominously murky jiggly bass lines under icy dramatic synths washes and twisted flurries of glitchy bleeping frequencies, to swirl over treated female spoken words as they shift in and out of distorted robotic longing for the love, hope, and trust not found in our colorless modern times.
In the accompanying video, Frau Aicon and Das Wunder perform “Time Machine” against a grey backdrop of kaleidoscopic configurations while blurry overlays distort and disintegrate their human form into ghostly virtual images.
