NRW/Germany, Coldwave/Post-Punk solo project FrailruR releases a symbolic video for the soul-stirring track ‘Butterfly’, taken from the fresh debut 4-track EP ‘I‘, replete of atmospheric jangly, winding bass-fueled, post-punk melancholia.
Glistening, nostalgic guitar strings weave trembling wistful emotions into a softly swaying flow of punchy off-tempo beats, sparse airy synth washes and sinuously deep simmering bass line pulses, lingering hypnotically around a soft brooding male confession of overwhelming love and freedom, found despite internal turmoil.
Enigmatic video shoots a heartfelt personal performance through an eerie churchyard, bizarre city passage, and lighted pedestrian crossing skewing camera angles over religious iconography, to cast ominous shadows of doubt along the cathartic journey of shame and self-discovery, as a mysterious black glitchy tunnel scene appears to beget a new beginning.
