WL//WH Video of the Day: FIONA FIASCO “Stacy”

Video of the Day FIONA FIASCO

Rooted in the Romansh folk tradition from her native valley of Grisons in the Swiss Alps, the young multi-instrumentalist singer and songwriter Fiona Fiasco, following her Sound/Art studies at the University of Bern Academy of the Arts, gained a wider artistic and performative approach, paired with a bolder experimental attitude, adding multifaceted pop and electronic nuances to her music palette.

The Zurich-based artist has dropped her single, “Stacy”, a first glimpse from her forthcoming debut EPBlue Rider, Blue Faced”, due out on February 27th, 2026.

A song written by Fiona herself, who also plays acoustic guitar, percussion and bass with contributors Simon Boss (drums, percussion, choir), Lukas Kuprecht (cello, choir), Selma Aerni (choir), and Lucien Badoux (vocals, keys, percussion), accompanied by a DIY video shot by Lukas Kuprecht himself.

A captivating, fresh and finely balanced harmonization of breezy pop flavours and intimate acoustic folk sensitivity laced with lightness and playfulness, where pastel-tinted melancholies from stroked yet vibrant strummed guitars, wobble and intertwine with soft heart-skipping drum beats, warm humming bass pulses, strained evocative cello orchestrations and colorful chimes, to frame, along with a calm, ecstatic choir, lush, breathy, slightly sung female vocals, rising into high quirky, infectious inflections when calling out ‘Stacy, come back to me.’

The paired visuals, shot by Lukas Kuprecht in Switzerland at Castello di Mesocco, display the lyrics for the song. An old European countryside, where ancient grey structures stand, sets the surreal backdrop for Fiona Fiasco as she performs Stacy. The sun shines brightly next to a shadowy tower, and an unfolded napkin reveals a picnic is at hand, bringing forth the playful vibe of the soundtrack.

You can also see Fiona performing a couple of acoustic sets, joining her pals Soft Loft in Tourcoing (FR) at Le Grand Mix on Dec 9th and Paris (FR), at La Boule Noire on Dec 10th.
