WL//WH Video Of The Day FEEDING FINGERS
Blending Post-punk and Darkwave influences, Feeding Fingers was founded in 2006 by Justin Curfman, a native of the United States relocated to Germany and lately Italy in 2009, who is still fresh from releasing, with his band members Bradley Claborn and Julian Bryan, last December’s 8th studio album, “Against The Roses,” via Tephramedia.
Following the success of his previous works with the band, acclaimed animator Steven Lapcevic, known for his unique and creative animated shorts and films, brought once again his visionary artistry to the project, blending his signature style with the evocative music of Feeding Fingers for “Model Lives and Fallen Leaves,” the second track from the LP.
Cloaked in a dark, fiery doom-laden realm where shallowness and mind games are abound, “Model Lives and Fallen Leaves” steadily stumbles on sonorous plodding drums and ominous digging bass throbs, through effect-laden, wandering sheets of dire searing guitar melodies, while restless pain-stricken vocals, and shadowy whispers, rise into desperate cries to observe madness and poverty.
The thought-provoking visuals by Steven Lapcevic are fascinating, and you will be amazed at all the fine details, symbolism, and abstract forms that are strategically placed within the vision. It might even pull at your heartstrings a bit, for it is the intimate and emotional tale of Justin Curfman himself who journeys into a rapidly shifting landscape of transhuman and psychedelic suggestions in search of identity and meaning.
