WL//WH Video Of The Day: EARTHAEYE “The Night Witch”

Video Of The Day  EARTHAEYE

Earthaeye is a Gothic Rock band from Lenoir, North Carolina founded by Jon Du Bose (Guitars, Bass Guitar) and Christöphë Crömëlin (Percussion) who were later joined by Bruce Nullify (Vocals, Lyrics, Guitar), Jeff Eacho (Keys), and Magnvs Mendez (Drums).

Earthaeye presents a debut music video for “The Night Witch,” the lead track from the latest EP “To the Deep,” replete with an eerie, stark and barbed-wire Post-punk sound reminiscent of Bauhaus.

“To the Deep” EP is an exploration into the sins of man, his inner demons, and the retribution brought about by dark forces. “Night Witch” is a grotesque creature which must possess and torture the living. But the line “only the most wicked, fallen souls, frailty and desired strewn” reveals an almost virtuous motive used to serve karma.

A hellish hallucinatory Ode unfurls eerie ceremonial synth glows, hard-hitting loose drum beats, and heavy throbbing bass lines, to tremble like distant thunder beneath a spindly web of obsessive scathing guitar lines simmering with excruciating tension, to inflict cursed pain-filled vocals and dramatic backups, with an infernal sway of tragic suffering.

Earthaeye’s debut music video blends metaphysical symbols with evocative performance shots and the beauty and mystery of the cosmos to sync with the supernatural essence of the soundtrack.
