Since July 2017, Dijon, France 3-piece dirishu6, comprised of Thai-Binh Phan-Van (Bass), Quentin Masanet (Drums) and Olivier Dumont (Guitar /Vocals), have perfected their heady brew of shoegaze and noise pop to drop a spacey 32GB video, animated by Florian Debbache, for the mesmeric and introspective track “Le Gouffre | The Abyss”, taken from last year’s third eponymous 6-track EP via Toulouse‘s DIY label Hidden Bay Records.
Metaphysical lyrics dwell in “The Abyss” between waking and dreams, where feelings of sadness, fear, and anxiety search for a wholeness of awareness.
Hypnotic, droning tones stir slow stumbling drum beats, sad, obsessive glistening guitar strings, low comforting bass vibrations, and light airy synth swirls into an aching celestial river under soft, monochromatic breaths of restless angst, tumbling weightless in a free fall of desperate pain.
Animated visuals, by Florian Debbache, trigger interstellar cybernetic stratospheres that build serene, expansive thought forms from the hidden subconscious region to invoke star-walker perceptions from an internal galaxy of genetic memories. Pinpoint light orbs blur and spin in time-lapsed simulations to allow broken connections, unseen configurations, and vibrational patterns to construct the universal symbols of sacred geometry. Holy Spiritual sequences of logic and shape illuminate electro-magnetic frequencies from creator consciousness to sync collective visualizations into a magical art method of cymatic dimensions.
