Emerging from the darkness of Berlin comes one-man darkwave / electroclash project, DEUS EX LUMINA to release a Cyberpunk video for the synth-heavy track “NEØMÆNCER” in
“the first episode of an explosive futuristic romantic synth-driven saga inspired by Orwell, Huxley, and Cyberpunk 2077.”
Permeated with ‘a distinct sense of dystopian Berlin isolation’, “NEØMÆNCER” triggers ominous restrained bass oscillations fusing with asymmetric clapping beats to churn mechanically under bright blinking android effects and airy low-frequency blasts, converging around dark emotional male croons that rise and fall romantically into the backward motion of time, shorn by harsh swelling synth expansions and quirky robotic tweaks.
Accompanied 3D video depicts a cybernetic lab where a secret to light therapy holds the key to healing the body through an innovative electromagnetic nanotechnology. Red and blue auras flash methodically through a gripping binary digital screen to disintegrate the imagination with fear and dread. Glitchy editing adds surreal danger to four robotic orbs hovering at a short distance with menace, shooting two invisible streams of subliminal programming into a levitating cyborg, who is quivering under the soothing arousal of virtual medicine.
