Das Moon is a Polish trio hailing from Warsaw fronted by the charismatic vocalist and poet Daisy K. along with musicians and producers DJ Hiro Szyma and Musiol, blurring the lines between dark electro and synthpop with industrial and new wave hints.
The single “Owl”, taken from last year third album “Dead”, on Requiem Records, is a seductive, dark and hypnotic slice of pure, 80’s influenced, modern electro-pop, made of powerful beats and cold and shiny synth lines underpinned by the the sinuous Daisy’s vocals both fascinating and unsettling at the same time, providing an ominous undercurrent to an otherwise highly danceable and addictive synth number.
An very interesting band, coherent and provocative, not afraid to experiment and move their synth electronic sound forward, unfortunately still far too little known abroad.
