WL//WH Video Of The Day: CRYSALICE “Sugar Rush”

Video Of The Day Crysalice

Brighton, UK based DIY alt-pop singer-songwriter Crysalice, taking inspiration from Lana Del Rey, Cocteau Twins and Massive Attack, Crysalice, seamlessly crafts, shimmering guitar-laden, cinematic, and evocative soundscapes and soothing yet haunting melodies, heightened by hypnotically seductive vocals.

New single “Sugar Rush” is a 60’s surf and shoegaze inspired song with a touch of alt-pop.

Grainy muted film, aged in black specks and white lines of hyper exposed wear and tear, flickers atop a backdrop of retro surf and sunsets, whilst sparkling, ethereal guitar strings slowly pluck and pierce the nostalgic atmosphere, along with gently pressed organic keyboard chords, as soulful, saddened euphoric evocative female vocals, long in shameless isolation, caressing the air with a lingering quiver of twinkling lyrics that reveal both the agony and the ecstasy of forbidden love in an unremorseful, orgasmic confession,

“It feels like a sugar rush!”
