WL//WH Video Of The Day: CAPUT MEDUSAE “Schwarzschild” (Official Video)

Video Of The Day Caput Medusae

Caput Medusae, the German Electronic Dark Wave duo of Tina Mar & Stefan Scott, open the new year with their haunting new single “Schwarzschild”, marking the first chapter of their upcoming mini‐album of the same name, set for release on February 19, 2026, paired with a striking music video, submitted to the 2026 Oberhausen Short Film Festival.

Lyrically, “Schwarzschild” takes its cue from the physical concept of the Schwarzschild radius—the point of no return in a black hole—and translates it into the dynamics of human relationships: how close can two people get before everything collapses inward?

An atmospheric cathartic journey in the realms of 80s-flecked Electropop and New Wave aesthetics driven by mechanical slapping drum patterns alongside tightly bouncy basslines, topped by uncanny synth swirls and enveloping wistful icy spacey leads, to shiver and expand endlessly, together with a vocal combination of male slightly sung, brooding spoken words, building into a stuttering vortex with female dreamy, sad introspections, to drift towards the disturbing yet magnetic black depth of a star-dusted cosmos where time and space blur.

The Official Video is a heady sci-fi short-film-like clip featuring Caput Medusa performing “Schwarzschild” amidst a backdrop of symbolic imagery. The cosmic theme aligns seamlessly with the lyrics by showing how a relationship may render individual choices invalid, causing one to lose themself inside an inner black hole made of dreams and shadows.

Caput Medusae‘s eponymous Mini-Album will be available on ltd. edition Vinyl /Digipak CD and Digital on February 19, 2026. On Pre-order via the band’s Bandcamp.
