WL//WH Video Of The Day: BLEU NUIT “Mensonges | Lies”

Video Of The Day   BLEU NUIT

Montreal, Quebec based Francophone New Wave/Post Punk foursome Bleu Nuit drop the third single, “Mensonges | Lies”, taken from their upcoming sophomore album, “Métal”, the follow-up to their 2019 debut “The Garden of Memories”, slated for release on November 5, 2021 via French independent label October Tone Records, accompanied by a heady DIY cyber music video.

The immersive, 80s UK New-wavish “Mensonges | Lies”, laced with an uncanny cinematic vibe, is a mesmeric and obscure concoction of organically resonant eerie keyboard chords and twinkling icy-bright synth swirls, interspersed with neurotic sparkling guitar slivers, sinuously throbbing bleak bass pulses, and dragging syncopated rhythms, that build thick and heavy moods around hazy, haunted male vocals and choir-like ethereal hums, to instill an overwhelming sense of regret and shame into a cold, dark, and jerkily increasing unease of guilty obsessions.

Strobing pixilated distortions translate cryptic symbols into subliminal poetry on a glitchy computer screen of late-night madness. Red and blue dimensions scroll embedded sequences of encrypted mind control over an intricate maze of disconnected neural pathways to ignite the mind’s eye of imagination into a trance-inducing asymmetry. A chaotic flow of motion singes translucent overlays with negative blue light suggestions and subconscious thought-forms to blur time-lapsed performance footage into a detached nostalgia of secrecy and pain.

Bleu Nuit‘s second album, “Métal”, is due out on November 5, 2021, on Vinyl/Tape/Digital formats, through Strasbourg based independent label October Tone Records.

Keep up with Bleu Nuit:
