Anilore, the veteran cinematic and atmospheric Shoegaze unit from New York, founded in 1992 by Andy Cheng, Andrew Malenda, and Michael Worsa return to WL//WH with the Official Video for “Firefly”, one of the standout tracks from last January’s third studio album, “Lia Fail.”
Like a “Firefly” at night, airy breezy glittery trails of melancholic and mercurial moods, captured by light misty drum beats, gently humming bass pulses, soft warm shivering keyboard glows, and wavy sways of glistening guitar melodies, immerse aching ethereal vocals in a timeless reflective realm of emotional introspection.
Dimly lysergic visuals for “Firefly” sync turbulent nature imagery with a psychedelic performance by Anilore to expand the deep emotional state of the soundtrack. Blurry light orbs shapeshift under a veil of stormy overlays to evoke a sense of being underwater, protected from the violent chaos above.
Anilore‘s third full-length album, “Lia Fail”, is available on Vinyl 10″ LP and Digital formats via the band’s Bandcamp.
