I listened to “Suburban Reality” by the dark electronic Canadian duo, Wire Spine as soon it was previewed a couple of days ago and it’s still well stuck in my head, there’s something deeply intriguing and a feel of inner troubled ‘dark soul’ sincerity in the haunting and bewitching Jesi’s voice, seamlessly merged together with dark, throbbing evocative synths and driving robotic beats to create subtle tension and moving drama, and ‘le jeux sont fait’, you’ll be utterly enraptured.
Waiting for the approaching Actors debut, another Vancouver‘s highly promising band to keep an eye on.
Wire Spine, made up of Robert Katerwol and Jesi Tekahionwake, are going to release their debut album “Bury Me Here” on March 23, 2018 via Negative Gain Productions.
