With a debut EP “Out of Focus” in late 2023 and last year’s one-off single “Under the Sound” under their belts, Boston, Massachusetts heavy shoegazers, made up of Erika Hansen (guitar, vocals), Dan Parlin (guitar), who replaces founding member Liz Walshak, Tracy Putnam (bass) and Alison Murray (drums), return with the new track, “In Strange Places”.
The four-piece explores the unshakeable, emotionally drenched tension and the misty intersection between ethereality and abrasiveness, shadow and light, soil and space, through a multifaceted atmospheric sonic array of Alternative Rock, Grunge, Dream Pop, Post-Rock and Shoegaze elements.

The moody and immersive song juxtaposes the loud and painful spasms of doomy distorted guitar riffs with increasingly anxious, achingly ghostly sparkling introspections, to build up to an excruciatingly plaintive cathartic climax in unison with high fearful vocals, turning to anger amidst being overwhelmed by a sense of collapse and tumult at the hands of a menacing force.
