The South of Italy‘s multi-faceted depressive “Gothic Rock” studio project Vasa Kumora unveils the collaborative Shoegaze-flecked atmospheric new single “Cruelty Rest,” featuring Alma Noire on vocals and Alberto Fauci on keyboards, with the thought-provoking lyrics curated by the tireless veteran UK-based music writer Alex Dematteis (aka Vecchio Scriba).
Framed in the band’s typical evocative cover artwork by the band’s head and composer Ssiv, “Lust Loves Loss” is about a person who fears losing their heart after making a mistake.
Heavily dragging drum beats, along with humming and pulsing basslines, anxiously pound in and crash below effect-drenched rambling, bleeding guitar twinges, layered with lonesome ghostly keyboard veils, to pierce and drip with the intense melancholy of restless pain-filled vocals, pulling the listeners into a lush aching mist of relentless doom.
