Formed in 2023, Baltimore, Maryland-based Post Punk band Twings have just released an enticing new single “True Devotion”, a foretaste from their upcoming debut album “THERE’S A DARK SKY,” due out on April 1st, via Young & Cold Records.
The three-piece churns out a nostalgic yet modern goth-tinged rock and roll sound drawing influences from ’80s UK New Wave and Post-punk, infused, in this latter case, with Glam Rock fascinations and fueled by the thoroughly charismatic and alluring Charlie Hughes‘ vocal delivery.
“True Devotion” deals with the firey feelings communicated through unspoken words, the look in an eye for example, between an amorous couple.
Lush and refined, as it is sensual and edgy, the single drives tight, stomping drum beats and thick, chugging bass throbs, stabbed by crisp sparkling guitar lines along with obsessive glowing synth riffs, quivering around strained, impassioned vocals, releasing deep frisky and restless energy.
Twings‘ upcoming debut album, “There’s a Dark Sky”, will be out April 15, on vinyl, CD, and Digital, via Young & Cold Records.
