Track Of The Day The Sea At Midnight
“Wait For Rain” is the second single of the year for The Sea At Midnight, the solo project of Los Angeles-based musician and composer Vince Grant.
A heartfelt and refined songwriter with a melodic, romantic, and full of pathos take on the ’80s-influenced dark sound, between Shoegaze, New Wave, Post-Punk suggestions and tragic dystopian visions of socio-economic, and above all, human catastrophe, which looms inexorably.
The doom-laden “Wait For Rain” is about a farmer who feels helpless as a drought, caused by thoughtlessness, leads to a world of pain.
On a dynamic murky backdrop of droning low ends and steady drum beats, abrasive distorted guitar textures, wistful sparkling echoes, agonizing piercing final leads alongside blazing and weeping epic synth drama, hopelessly swirls atop melancholic, fearful vocals, falling into a desperate situation.
