Sonic Thing, the Coldwave / Post Punk revival solo project by South of France‘s multi-instrumentalist and composer Nicolas, former vocalist and guitarist of Paradise Cove, drops the third excerpt, “Darkness Dancers,” from the forthcoming debut album “Breathe in, Breathe out.”
The nostalgic track is built on the ominous, prominent gloomy pulses of superbly wicked Asylum Party-like, brooding basslines, paired with steady, lively drum patterns. Icy, ringing chorused guitar riffs pierce through, with aching obsessive intensity, restless whirls of synthetic glows, and shadowy spoken words, turning into echoed fearful passion, to explore dark desire.
