WL//WH Track Of The Day: REVISER “The Flames”

WL//WH Track Of The Day REVISER

Started in the winter of 2023 by former Emmaline Twist, Krysztof Nemeth (Vocals, Baritone Guitar, Bass, Programming), and one half of Religion of Heartbreak‘s Dedric Moore (Guitar), both stalwarts of the Kansas CityMissouri underground music scene, with the addition of former The Bad Ideas vocalist, Breaka Dawn, the darkwave trio REVISER has dropped the new single, “The Flames”, to herald the forthcoming official full length, “DOLOROSO.”

Channelling 80s classic innovators such as Sisters of Mercy, The Cure, Tones on Tail and current favorites as Actors, House of Harm, and Traitrs, REVISER pushes moody post-punk into sinister, restless and anthemic shapes on “The Flames,” a close-knit collision of bruising shoegaze textures, pounding rhythms, gritty bass tones, icy synth and distressed high-energy dual vocal delivery.

Hard-hitting programmed beats alongside thick, murky basslines fuel harsh and abrasive reverberating guitar tones, topped by swirling radiant synth stabs, while poignant, earnest baritone leads infuse a powerful surge of aching emotion that emphasizes the haunted pain encompassed by riled-up bitter male vocals, backed by restless female anger, resisting the modern-day insanity by breaking it all down.

Reviser‘s single “The Flames” will be released digitally on all streaming platforms on March 1, alongside its companions on the album “DOLOROSO”. CD’s will be available at the Kosmiccity booth at Outer Reaches Fest, March 13-14 at recordBar. A vinyl release will be available on May 1.
