Just released today is the debut self/titled 2-track vinyl 7″ EP “The Nothing / Dusk In December” via Life Haunt Records from elusive new darkwave / post-punk band from Vancouver, British Columbia called QUI VIVRA VERRA.
Dealing with love, loss, and memories, the gloomy and intense “The Nothing”, unfurls a rising and sprawling dense web of sombre, sparkling guitar melodies, awash by mournful atmospheric synth swells and fueled by pounding slashing beats and rapid claps, that encompass crooning, pained vocals laced with sorrow, misery, shame. Abandoned, broken, and inconsolable, a man reminisces about his broken relationship and the mistakes he made. Certain she will never coming back, he can just wonder and “love junkies”.
A promising darkwave debut, just in time for a sad heartbroken Valentine’s Day Ball.
