WL//WH Track Of The Day: PIERRE LECARPENTIER “When the lights go out”

Track Of The Day  PIERRE LECARPENTIER

Young Parisian musician and composer Pierre Lecarpentier has concocted an all-encompassing musical soundscape of ‘Psychedelic Rock, Folk on steroids and Pop from outer space’ for around three years, with a 2023 debut album, “Yesterday’s Melodies”, under his belt.

The French artist has recently dropped a couple of singles, the sunshiney, glistening and gently nostalgic instrumental reverie of “Sweet Melancholy”, and the latest “When the lights go out”.

A soul-stirring, metaphysical acoustic ballad that builds towards a freewheeling emotional climax, featuring energetic earnest strummed guitar riffs, dotted by tinkly wistful keys and surging shivering poignant strings, while heartfelt vocals croon about being lost and then found through a lens of love and healing.
