Track Of The Day Night Voyager
I have very little information about Night Excitement, an enigmatic lo-fi post-punk music project from Kiev, Ukraine, who just debuted with a heartfelt and immersive somehow deceptively hazy dream-laden tune, “We’ll dance together again”, lit by sparkling swirls of reverb-strewn dream-pop, probably a duo, in a lo-fi, stripped-down combination of guitar, bass, and drum-machine with distant echoes of early 80s Belgian post-punksters The Names and shades of Motorama and the usual The Cure.
Soft off-tempo beats stir up shadowy introspective moods of bittersweet impressionism, swathed in misty delicate nostalgia and sullen emotionality, drawn with heartfelt grace by reverberating glistening guitar melodies laced with a sinuously bubbling bleak bassline, swaying and meandering around bashful, mumbling male vocals revealing sentimental praise into the shimmering auras of a haunted romance, as ‘music sounds better with you’, leaving us at the mercy of bewitching moments of sheer aural beauty.
