“Secrets” is less about the things people keep from each other, more about the things we take for granted about another person. It’s very obviously a love song and very obviously inspired by the Field Mice. Tobias Hammermuller says

Paired with a karaoke lyric video, “Secrets” is the final single by the Viennese four-piece Pop combo Laundromat Chicks, masterminded by Tobias Hammermuller (vocals, guitar) along with Lena Pöttinger (drums), Theresa Strohmer (guitar, vocals), and Felix Schnabl (bass), Laundromat Chicks, to build anticipation for the incoming third album “Something Possessed”, scheduled for release on January 24, 2025 via Siluh Records.

“Secrets” encompasses the vulnerable pain and grace of a bittersweet romance, combined with the quartet’s natural flair for crafting stirring and endearing melodies, unravelling a confused heartfelt confession that explores the different levels of emotions and attachments felt about a loved one over time.

Punctuated by a lively backbone of bobbing drum beats and a sinuously pulsing warm bassline, wistful, slightly anxious nostalgic vocals glide along a flowing guitar strumming and jangling, that shimmer and harmonize in unison, layered with enveloping sad keyboard motifs, to effortlessly pull at your heartstrings.
