Russian mystical Synth project of Konstantin Ostrovsky (toska po domu, црквь) based in Perm, Kondratie, teams up with fellow musician Mikhail Shlepin (Скубут/Skubut), who adds spiky guitar chords plus some lyrics and vocals, for the intense and disturbing new single, “Точкой / Point”.
Stark, searing and compulsive with an arcane esoteric feel, yet somehow manages to mould together profoundly, bursting with ominous dystopian bleakness, “Точкой / Point” is laced with organic lyrics that brood in the physical, destructive elements of primal angst to decompose and crumble into the dust of Earth.
Steady punchy arrhythmic beats and an ominous rapidly throbbing, rumbling bassline overlaid with the high-pitched ricochets of European and Asian vibes weave by glistening plangent guitar chimes, that roam, prickle and race obsessively with clinging smears of humming synth, alongside compelling dual male vocals, unleashing dark passions from strong, distressed cries, primal grunts, distorted ramblings, and eerie haunted whispers to succumb to the menace, anger, and ruin that lies in the depths of the human soul.
Kondriate keeps on delivering gripping glimpses of his surrounding reality through the European darkwave tradition with wintry and resonant sparkles of painful existence and heartfelt despair.
