Track Of The Day KALLSUP
Fresh from the affiliation with the Swedish independent label VÅRØ Records, the Örebro-based six-piece Kallsup shared over the weekend the second single “Golfströmmen”, taken from the band’s forthcoming debut album, “En sista räddning,” due out on March 28, 2025.
The Central Sweden collective, made up of Eline Gustafsson (vocals), Edwin Karolczak (guitar), Carl Libert (vocals, guitar), William Ulff (bass), Elin Lindström Svernby (synth) and Joakim Jakobsson (drums), delivers an emotional-ridden dark Shoegaze sound, nuanced with elements of Post-punk and Post-rock, built on heavy, droning, abrasive wall-of-sound riffs, shadowy atmospheric textures, and melancholic vocals.

An introspective journey that enters the folds and ghosts of a strained soul, where shuffling drums steer cold abrasive swarms of sprawling fuzzed-out riffs to expand, fall and rise, riven by vibrant and obsessive agonising wails, hopelessly piercing restless vocals, layered with high anxious cries, aching, and struggling to stay afloat under a heavy oppressive vortex of impending darkness.
Kallsup‘s second single, ”Golfströmmen,” taken from the upcoming debut album, “En sista räddning,” will be released on March 28, 2025, via VÅRØ Records.
