Track Of The Day HINFORT
Since the second part of last year, the young German Post-Punk / Dark Wave solo project from Cologne, under the Hinfort moniker, has delivered four brilliantly crafted 80s-tinged singles, both set forth with much sincere familiar melodrama and shivering pop sensibilities, filled with brooding intensity, that’s hard to resist.
The latest and possibly his catchiest so far, “What I’ve Done,” deals with a lost soul, who sits in quiet loneliness, to reflect on life and realize that the actions he has taken, and will take, by himself, are of the utmost importance.
Bursting with an urgent fit of passionate and moody vibes, bouncy driving rhythms, thick purring bass lines and an incisive and spiky wistful guitar work, adorned by wholehearted releases of angst and fear by a gentle yet powerful emotional baritone, one of those kinds that make even the bleakest darkness wondrous.
