As you can easily guess we’re particularly keen on DIY bands and the London/Glasgow ‘mutant’ synth-punk all-female four-piece ES perfectly fits the bill.
After an excellent debut EP ‘Object Relations’ on the proudly independent label, ‘Unsavoury Union’ is a compelling growling bass-led punk number with obsessive and sinister synth lines, pounding drums and a spiky emotional vocals that sets the angsty tone. Tense, cold, fiercing and powerful…with stirring bands like ES the punk underground is still very much alive and well.
