Belgian trio Eosine founded and fronted by Elena Lacroix certainly does not lack the imagination to add new intriguing sonic nuances to their original heavily Shoegaze-tinted Indie Rock sound.
After the intoxicating progressive and post-rock scents of last month’s compelling “Progeria”, the Liège group returns with the second excerpt “Plant Healing”, taken from the forthcoming EP, “Liminal”, due on 27th September via Mayway Records, according to the label “an amazing throwback to 90s shoegaze heydays of bands like Lush, My Bloody Valentine and Ride”, the final shape of an old meaningful and lingering song for Eosine’s life circle of awareness and growth.
Infused with psychedelic blooms, “Plant Healing” teeters between energetic noisy outbursts and delicate contemplative tones, driven by steady shuffling drum beats and lithe, Madchester-like, pulsing bass grooves, to sway sinuously with tinny scraping strummed guitars and gritty, loud distorted riffs, floating in depth-defying layers of swirling transcendent bliss, defined by a feel-good dreamy vocal interplay, blending high ecstatic female energy with laid-back soulful male essence, to discuss feelings, pheromones, and interconnectedness.
Eosine‘s upcoming new 4-track EP, “Liminal”, will be released on 27th September via Mayway Records, presented on 24th October at Brussels‘ Botanique, on 4th November at the infamous Parisian punk club Supersonic and finally on 12th December at Reflektor, in the band’s hometown Liege.
Keep up with Eosine:
