Track Of The Day Disorientations
Antwerp, Belgium’s noisy post-punkers Disorientations, comprised of Luka Van Camp (bass), Tomas Serrien (drums) and Niels Elsermans (vocals, guitar), announce the release of their debut album “Memory Lanes”, due out on Feb 4, 2022, via [PIAS] Recordings, while sharing the hypnotic and yelping brand new single “Allied”.
A wickedly stripped-down sound, yet equally powerful, edgy and melodic with steady rhythms, alienating basses, vitriolic guitars and harrowing vocals taking some cues from the hallucinated and caustic vibes of early P.I.L.
The confrontational lyrics struggle with the ability to stay true to oneself whilst fear and doubt run rampant through the veins of sentiment.
An exhausting and obsessive punchy bassline rumbles and quavers menacingly, backed by tight drum beats, while desolated sharp guitar melodies slowly glide and then meander full of restrained piercing pain reverberating atop anxious, haunted, and distressed visceral chants, freeing dread discomfort and alienation from a treacherous hostility of social pain.
Disorientations first LP “Memory Lanes”, is slated for release, CD / red & black marbled Vinyl 12″/ digital, on Feb 4, 2022, through [PIAS] Recordings,
