Track Of The Day DIMENSIÓN NOCTURNA
After last year’s debut 4-tracker “Ansia”, Bogotá based Post-punk 5-piece Dimensión Nocturna are back to unveil the first single, “Rotos”, from the forthcoming sophomore EP “Melanosis.”
The Colombian unit delivers a stripped-down and moody Post-punk enhanced with Goth and Dark Wave elements, that finds its own way through the surrounding bleakness cloaked with passion and urgency, full of angsty energy, doomy bass, soul-scraping riffs, and forlorn broods sunk in a stifling murky well of melancholy, rage and sorrow.
Poetic lyrics reflect on a break-up, whilst brooding in a helpless realm of crumbled existence.
“Rotos” is underpinned by a vibrant and solid foundation of steady punchy drum beats and brooding pulsing basslines, whilst rambling agonizing guitar squeals resonate with obsessively quavering and piercing aches atop a numb restless vocal drawing urgent breathes of pain and anxiety from a pitch black cavern of nihilistic dread.
