WL//WH Track Of The Day: AMBIVALENTES “Tunnel Vision”

WL//WH Track Of The Day  AMBIVALENTES

Ambivalentes, a Swedish minimal synth-wave-pop (or whatever you want to call it) musical project from Gothenburg, thrives on contrasts, fusing a human heart with cold, synthetic soundscapes. The two-piece has released a new single, seemingly their second, titled “Tunnel Vision,” conjuring late-night atmosphere and an early ’80s Scandinavian mood.

“Tunnel Vision” is about being lost and drifting in the darkness through a lens of yearning to be taken home.

A gloomy atmospheric song that evolves on tapping mid-tempo drum patterns and a dimly twinkling, gently undulating wistful synth loop, crossed by chilly glimmers of distant swirls, echoing out into a nostalgic radiance that weaves eerie, depressing moods around sad, drifting female vocals, haunted by lingering and inescapable ghosts, unfurling endlessly over the night.
