South Californian artist, under his Accumortis moniker, on a regular basis since 2017 on Soundcloud/Bandcamp with his very promising goth-infused ‘cold, dark and minimal’ electronic sound, is about ready to release his debut album “Deathwave” later in the year via Australian imprint Nowhere Now Records.
The title track has been recently unveiled as a single and also part of the label’s digital sampler “Nowhere Now Volume 2”.
Ominously hypnotic, swaying bassline seethingly ebb and flow, underlie by repetitive obsessive beats consistently punctuated by vicious claps and clattery percussive organic snares, shadowed by sinister disembodied corroded synth stabs injecting twisted tension and menace over heavily distorted, sensually detached, ghostly hums sinking into cold resignation and willful detachment.
Accumortis‘ penchant for building up obscure, pulsing, visceral and infectious ‘deathwave’ soundscapes out of his machines, makes him definitely an artist worth keeping your eye on.
